19th May 2011 - RCUK welcomes new Intellectual Property guide for universities
Research Councils UK (RCUK) welcomes the new Intellectual Asset Management for Universities guide launched by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO).
This new guide gives advice and information to universities to help them understand how they can best use their institution’s Intellectual Property. This can be an invention, trade mark, original design or the application of a good idea.
As a contributor to the creation of the guide, RCUK welcomes it, and encourages universities and higher education institutions to take advantage of the advice it contains. Ensuring that the outputs of research are freely available to wider society, whilst managing the intellectual assets of the researcher and their institution helps to ensure that research contributes to the growth, prosperity and wellbeing of the UK.
The Intellectual Asset Management for Universities guide is available on the IPO website here.
